How strong is THCP?
Tetrahydrocannabiphorol (THCP) binding affinity is reported to be 33x of that Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) offers. This doesnt particularly means that it is 33x stronger than THC, it means that the binding affinity on the Cannabis receptor 1 (CB1) and Cannabis receptor 2 (CB2) are a lot better. THCP was synthesised in 1941 and are sold under the code name JWH-091. A 2021 study reported that the content of 9-THCP ranged from 0.0023% to 0.0136% in the Cannabis sativa plant and are therefore a semi synthetic cannabinoid.
